WELCOME TO SPRING FROM SEVILLE!

After the celebration of our most popular Fiestas: Holy Week and Feria de Abril, Seville is finally welcoming its Spring! Our ALA students retook their routine and their contact with classes, and during the past three months they enjoyed great cultural and academic experiences which are helping them to grow personally and professionally.

So far, students seemed to adjust well, and they are having a positive and productive semester. Students are happy with their classes´ selections and continue working to prepare for their future final challenges. Besides, Advanced Liberal Arts program continues to offer support with “tutorials” (through the “Centro de Recursos Lingüísticos”) for students who need extra help with their content courses.

Mid-semester Individual interviews helped them to review their goals for this experience in Spain too, so CIEE could support them individually to guess how they can reach their desired targets. After some time for adaptation, program seems to overcome their expectations. In their personal midterm interviews they admit that they are happy, comfortable and integrated in the program.

IMGP1631Lisboa overnight trip

24 out of our 32 ALA students travelled to Portugal guided by one of our staff members and two of our cultural guides during March 16-18 weekend.

ALA students enjoyed different walking tours and some free time around different neighborhoods of Lisbon like Chiado, Baixa Downtown. Belem or Alfama, visited Sintra and its Palacio Da Pena, Da Ribera Market, Lisbon Cathedral and Saint George Castle.
